Talenza is a healthcare and life sciences management consulting firm, with focus on startup healthcare and technology companies solving healthcare’s biggest challenges.
Talenza's range of service offerings includes operations management, finance and marketing, business development, organization design, strategy development and deployment, portfolio management, and complex problem solving. Talenza was reformed from its predecessor, Better Health, in 2020 to respond to a new world order at the outset of the coronavirus pandemic.
As Founder and President, Jim Sapienza's healthcare career has spanned health system, life sciences, hospital and medical group operations with added emphasis in finance and marketing. In addition to his executive roles, Jim has served on numerous business and professional association boards, including President of the Washington State healthcare executive's group. He also served two terms as the only non-radiologist on the RSNA Quality Improvement Committee.
Following a professional sports career, Jim transitioned to a career in healthcare leadership. He is a graduate of the University of Minnesota's Carlson School of Management and the School of Public Health, obtaining his MHA and MBA degrees. He is an Asana Certified Pro in planning and project management. He is Lean Certified in quality and performance improvement. He is Board Certified and a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives.

Jim graduated Dartmouth College, becoming a senior fellow in American Epic Poetry which, he studied further at Indiana University. Athletically, in college Jim was named an All-American seven times in cross country and indoor and track. He was enshrined in the Wearers of the Green Hall of Fame in 1984. As a professional athlete, he qualified for three US Olympic Trials in the 5,000 and 10,000-meter races.
As a graduate of the Trinity High School Class of 1981. He was recognized as valedictorian, won a state championship in track, was awarded two Shammy Awards by the student body, and received the Trinity Leadership Award. He was inducted into the Trinity Hall of Fame in 2001, and the Kentucky High School Hall of Fame in 2013.
